HISTORY

A journey of growth and dedicated service

Luke Bahler founded the business in 2012, buying the Brookston location shortly after he returned from earning his degree in Diesel Technology from the nationally ranked program at the University of Northwestern Ohio. This Brookston shop formerly serviced farm equipment. Once Luke took over, he shifted the focus to diesel semi-trucks. Not only is this what he is trained and passionate about working on, Luke saw a need in the tri-county area (Jasper, Benton, and White counties) for an honest, reliable, highly skilled diesel mechanic business that wanted to grow and keep up with the latest technology. “Fixing diesel semi-trucks is what I was made to do,” says Luke. “I feel this is how God has gifted me and I want to help our community’s farmers and truckers.”


While initially a one-man semi truck repair shop, Bahler Repair quickly grew as word got around about our expertise and trustworthiness. Technicians were steadily added and an additional location opened in Remington in 2020. Currently Bahler Repair employs eight highly skilled technicians in our two locations and serves customers in an area north to Rensselaer, east to Monticello, west to Kentland and south to Lafayette.
